Version 3.0 of Autobahn DX is a significant new release that features many customer-requested enhancements:

Stand-Alone Advanced PDF Compression
A new step is available that will perform Mixed Raster Content (MRC) and JBIG2 compression on existing image PDF files without requiring OCR. Note that this is specifically intended for use with image-only PDF files.
Outlook MSG and Attachments Conversion
Direct support for converting Outlook .MSG files has been added. In addition an option is available to convert the email attachments so that the resulting PDF is composed of the email plus each page of each attachment.
Optional Extended OCR Module
The new optional Extended OCR Module makes the IRIS OCR engine available as part of Autobahn DX. This provides enhanced OCR recognition, DOCX output, support for multiple languages in a single document and over 100 supported languages.
Asian Language Support
The Asian Language edition of the Extended OCR Module includes support for Japanese, Korean, Simplified and Traditional Chinese.
Open Office Support
Open Office formats are now supported. This requires presence of Open Office on the machine where Autobahn DX is installed. Furthermore, Autobahn DX can now be configured to make use of Open Office to convert Microsoft Office documents rather than require Microsoft Office to be installed.
Upgraded OCR Engine
Autobahn DX 3.0 includes version 1.30 of the Aquaforest OCR engine as standard which includes a number of enhancements such as “optimized ocr” which allows jobs to be run using multiple configurations for better OCR results and improved dictionary-based methods to support auto-rotation.
*The Extended OCR and Extended OCR Asian Modules are optional extra-cost options for Autobahn DX Server Edition and Network Server Edition.
Autobahn DX 3.0 is available now to buy or trial. The trial is a fully functional version of the software but has a watermark placed upon the output files.You can download the software from here:

The new version does require a new permanent license key. Autobahn DX customers with current Support & Maintenance Cover are entitled to a free upgrade. Please contact us directly should you wish to upgrade to V 3.0 for a new license key and upgrade instructions.
